Children
at Sekor Gutok, near Bhutan. The
villagers noticed that our bottled water supply came from Mt Kailash, a most
sacred mountain far away in western tibet. One bottle was leaking a little.
Each villager took some water in the palm of the hand and blessed themselves
with it. This is an example of the deep faith of ordinary Tibetans. We regarded
our supply in a different light after this!
The
women wear fur skins hanging down their backs - see woman top right of
image. Beautiful wide eyed children - innocent and trusting.
There's
a 9 storey tower here constructed by Milarepa on behalf of Darma Dode, son
of Marpa. |
